Billy Lerner and Wife Marcella Di Martin with the Billy For Kids Foundation Making an Impact in Three Countries

Billy4Kids, a charity spearheaded by Billy Lerner and his wife Marcella Di Martin, is working to change the lives of children around the world by donating hundreds of shoes. The foundation is committed to  raising awareness about the global issue of parasitic diseases, which affects 740 million people. Having access to proper footwear prevents these diseases from taking over the lives of countless children. 

The vision behind Billy4kids began with a discussion about infectious diseases that affect barefoot children in poverty stricken areas in Africa, Brazil and Haiti. The charity was founded by Billy when he realized how privileged his own children were to have access to basic needs. His wife Marcella

is a dedicated activist, former model, and mother who has made it her mission to carry out the vision of Billy4Kids. Since being named ambassador for the charity, she has made progressive strides to make a positive impact on the lives of children in underprivileged conditions.

To date, Billy4Kids has made tremendous strides in improving the lives of children in many countries such as Haiti, Africa and Brazil. Representatives of the foundation, including Billy Lerner and his wife, make regular trips to the countries that the charity helps. They visit schools, children's hospitals and homes for underprivileged children. Here they meet with the children that are affected by parasitic diseases and are positively impacted by the charity. The charity has undertaken several missions in Haiti, Africa and Brazil where they not only visit the affected children, but also spread awareness of the need to combat this global issue, one child at a time. Hundreds of pairs of shoes have been donated to many areas in these countries and the charity will continue to do so until each child has access to proper footwear. 

The charity will continue to bring more shoes and hope to even more countries in the coming years including Honduras, Jamaica and Colombia. Through their commitment to providing resources and support, the foundation is creating a brighter future for children in need. Although the charity's work is focused on providing immediate relief, it also looks to create lasting change. As the cost of treatment is expensive and most infections are recurrent, Billy4Kids places extreme importance on prevention.
